This will be farewell,
Here we finally part ways,
Never to forget
And never to remember.
This shadow will fall
And find its’ home in soil
Beside autumn’s leaves
As the frost of death entombs
With loving arms.
For every poet is sung
A swan’s melody
Across a mist ridden lake
Befitting a dirge,
As mourning doves fall silent
Just above remains,
Only to shed forlorn tears
Upon empty dust.
And there, I sleep evermore,
Relieved of my past
And held by those false angels
As they melt away
Into this oblivion
I now call my home.
This will be my last farewell,
This will be my last farewell…
