Empathy, In Four Haikus

I

I hold you closely,
In silence read the sorrow
Bled on your pages.

II

Tears begin to fall
Raining o’re the black velvets,
Stained by morning dew.

III

The sorrow invades
As a fire in my heart,
This pyre rages.

IV

I self immolate
In the flames of empathy,
Burning just for you.
