Linger

Linger,
As dawn arrives.
With golden light it shines,
Then breaks upon the branch and frost
This morn.

Linger,
Observe the sun.
It’s slowly drifting by.
it reaches to its fate,
To night.

Linger,
As shadows grow.
The shilouettes of trees
Stand vigil on the brink of night,
Enclosed.

Linger,
Beneath the stars
And trace the ghostly moon;
Now catch the light with weary eyes
And see.

Linger,
As ages pass.
I watch events transpire,
Observing time drift by, until
Sunrise.
